With 25 years of camaraderie preceeding, the trio formed over sets at Oxford’s short-lived Lamar Lounge. This was after George and Tyler’s time in The Preacher’s Kids, at one time sharing a drummer with Blue Mountain which Laurie co-founded. With Tyler’s Neckbones they held sway over the south.
